People who have been accustomed to dealing with the mine must be familiar with three rows of this character: P & H.

P & H has become a trusted brand variety of heavy equipment operating in the mine. In the open pit mine, who is not familiar with the shovel or a drill branded P & H.
P & H Mining Equipment was founded by Alonzo Pawling (1858-1914) and Henry Harnischfeger (1855-1930) in Milwaukee, USA in 1884. 27-year-old Pawling and Harnischfeger was 29 when started the company.
At first, the company is supplying various components of the machine to a local factory. Among their customers are Nordberg, Rex Chain Belt, and Allis Chalmers, who together make P & H will be the center of Milwaukee mining equipment industry.
In 1887, Pawling and Harnischfeger prime producing machine, a crane which was given the brand P & H. Brands that in the future will be one of the famous brands in the business of mining equipment.



The financial crisis that occurred in 1893 precisely to establish the intention of this duo continue to develop products. In that year the P & H explore a new realm by developing and producing machines diggers (digging machines). In recent years they also increasingly establishing themselves as a company known for providing 'after sales support' that satisfy its customers.
In 1911, the output product P & H produces more varied with shovels and draglines. A year later came their products that later became famous, Excavator Model 206.
During the 30s decade, P & H became the first company to adopt the design to use for all welding machines. This means an end to the use of Rivet who previously used to connect the parts into a single tool.
